Beatle Brunch Bytes

As mentioned on the “Beatle Brunch 30th Anniversary Show”, Joe Johnson’s 1998 interview with Ringo Starr in New York as his “Vertical Man” album was coming out. I met up with Ringo at the Carlisle Hotel in New York City and was so nervous to meet him and his publicist in his hotel room. I brought along a full page of questions, but I nervously left them in the bottom of my stack of papers. Luckily we had the new album to talk about, almost song-for-song. Vertical Man has a remake of “Love Me Do” and Dobie Gray’s “Drift Away” with Steven Tyler, Tom Petty and Alanis Morrisette. Fantastic. Ringo was fun, funny and generous with his time, he even gave me a signed “Vertical Man” poster which you can see in the main photo. BTW this is the first time the FULL interview has been posted on line. There are NO edits once it starts. We hope you like it. Joe SURE was nervous on this one too.
