it’s been 20 years since The Concert for New York took place at Madison Square Garden, to honor the fallen and the brave who perished and those who dug their boots in on “the pile” to look for survivors. The concert, organized by Paul McCartney, took place on October 20th, 2001 and featured dozens of rock and pop icons like David Bowie, James Taylor, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Destiny’s Child w Beyonce, Bon Jovi, Jagger and Richards and many others. A week or so after the concert, Joe Johnson had a chance to speak with Sir Paul and thank him for organizing this benefit concert. Hear the interview here and please share the link with friends.
