The 2022 Grammy nominations full list is out!  Sir Paul McCartney is up for two, and the suspense has “WINGS”, though the Grammy Awards presentation will be delayed.

Sir Paul McCartney leads the list of Beatles nominated for Grammy Awards (George is up for one) announced on Tuesday November 23rd. The 2022 Grammy Awards show was to return to the newly renamed Arena in Los Angeles Monday, January 31st, but do to Covid concerns, the broadcast and ceremony have been postponed indefinitely.

Here’s what is supposed to happen: Sir Paul is up for two from his McCartney III album released in September of 2021. The first is for Best Rock Album (For albums containing at least 51% playing time of new rock, hard rock or metal recordings), for his album McCartney III.

The second comes with a bit of spirited competition. Beatle Paul is nominated for Best Rock Song for “Find My Way” Paul McCartney, songwriter (Paul McCartney). Nominated in that same category is the songwriting daughter of former Wings’ lead guitarist Laurence Juber: Ilsey Juber, who has written hit songs for Miley Cyrus, Mark Ronson and this one, “All My Favorite Songs” by Weezer. 

Also nominated is the “All Things Must Pass” 50th anniversary edition remix, in the category of Best Boxed Or Special Limited Edition Package, Darren Evans, Dhani Harrison & Olivia Harrison, art directors (George Harrison).  Paul last won that category in 2012 among his Beatle pals, for his Wings Over America – Best Boxed or Special LTD Edition PackageGood Luck to all the nominees and may the Best Beatle win!
