Beatle fans near and far are invited to historic Charlotte NC Friday and Saturday July 9th and 10th for a FAB-ulous time with John, Paul, George and Ringo in their hearts and great music ringing in their ears!  FabFest is back with two concerts at the Belk Theater in Uptown Charlotte

and FAB events all day Saturday starring Joey Molland’s Badfinger Saturday night July 10th. To kick things off Friday evening, catch the Emmy Award-winning band The Fab Four – The Ultimate Tribute. This note-perfect Beatle band has wowed audiences across the world and is a favorite on The Flower Power Cruise and many other events.   Their incredible stage performances include three different era costume changes. You’ll feel like you’re at The Ed Sullivan Show!Saturday night, John Tosco presents Tosco Music Beatles Tribute – “the ‘Beatles Party to end all Beatles Parties”.

Tosco Music has been presenting this annual, sell-out community Beatles Tribute event for the past 16 years. This popular Charlotte tradition brings together fans of all ages to enjoy a uniquely wonderful evening of local and regional acts performing Beatles songs in a variety of musical genres, with audience singalongs throughout the night.

The Fab Fun continues at FabFest Saturday. The daytime Activities include a full day of live music, celebrity guest speakers and activities, a Beatles marketplace and more from 10am-5pm Saturday at Spirit Square.

FabFest Daytime includes live music acts on the Main Stage including special guest Joey Mollandoriginal member of Badfinger, The Nowhere Boys of Bogotá, Abbey Road Forever, Wonderwall The Tribute and more. Fascinating presentations by Beatles experts and authors include Robert Rodriguez, Bruce Spizer and Daniel Coston. Plenty of fun awaits the whole family with Beatles games and trivia contests, a marketplace, memorabilia, rare Beatles concert videos, door prizes and more!

This year’s FabFestoffers even more ways for the community to get involved, with a Beatles Cover Song Contest, Beatles Art Contest, and Beatles Open-Mic on The Square, an outdoor plaza free and open to the public where you can play giant guitars and enjoy lunch from local food and beer trucks.

FabFest organizer John Tosco said, “Previously, fans would have to travel to Chicago or New York to enjoy a Beatles festival of this magnitude. Now the Southeast has its very own weekend celebration of the fabulous music that rocked and changed the world.”

The influence of The Beatles and their music is truly international and intergenerational. FabFest is well on its way to becoming a destination event for Charlotte, where fans of all ages and cultures come together around the universal popularity of the music of The Beatles.
