Steven King: King of Guitar
One of the finest set of hands behind the occasional instrumental guitar Beatles interludes heard on Joe Johnson’s Beatle Brunch comes from the man at - Steven King, the guitarist, not the best-selling author.

For 20-plus years, these guitar underscores have helped support the narration on Beatle Brunch. A great amount of the tracks you hear on the show come from award-winning guitarist Steven King, the 1st Place Trophy Winner at the world’s most distinguished guitar championship held at Winfield, Kansas, The Maple Valley Festival.

Steven's love for The Beatles and his command of their repertoire was the inspiration for seven of his nineteen CDs comprised of his Beatles arrangements on solo guitar. For 11 years, from 1995-2005, King toured the US performing in-store concerts for Taylor Guitars, playing mostly his Beatles arrangements.

While King does cover the more popular tracks like “And I Love Her”, “Something” and “I Feel Fine”, he often reaches deep into The Beatles song library and comes up with unique arrangements of tracks like “Dr. Robert”, “Any Time at All”, “Being for the Benefit of Mr, Kite” and even the medley on side two of Abbey Road.

If you want to literally hear John and Paul's voices in the guitar strings and again, exquisitely well-played guitar music, ...Steven King..." .-published article "Four Fabulous guitarists play the FAB FOUR!" By James R. Webb [reviewing King's "Beatle-ing" CD series]

Steven has a VERY limited supply of each of the 7 "Beatle-ing" series of his guitar CDs, sold only at his website He has no plans to re-print them once they’re gone, so you might want to order them now to own a unique piece of musical history. Email him what you want, and he’ll email you back a link for a credit card payable invoice, then he’ll send out your CDs.

Of course over the years, Joe Johnson’s Beatle Brunch has also presented instrumental tracks from Grammy Winning Wing’s lead guitarist Laurence Juber, whom many of you know from our Beatles Tribute Cruises and various Beatles festivals, including Abbey Road on the River.
